What if Jesus wanted to do something new in your life?
This is your fresh start.
Welcome to SMC 2021!
StuMo exists to build spiritual leaders for Christ from the college campuses of the world. Our passion is to build up student laborers into future leaders. Our desire is to equip them to live for Christ wherever they may go.
SMC is one way we engage with students to live out this purpose!
Student Mobilization (StuMo) is a non-profit, college campus organization that exists to build spiritual leaders for Christ from the college campuses of the world. Our passion is to build up student laborers into future leaders. The students of today will be tomorrow’s business men and women, church leaders, missionaries, educators, community leaders and parents. Our desire is to equip them to live for Christ wherever they may go.
StuMo Conference (SMC) is one way we engage with students to live out this purpose!

Emergencies and crises on-site are extremely rare, but here’s what to know to be prepared.
Emergencies may include:
Theft or vandalism
Exhibit crisis (fire, bomb threats, active shooter, etc.)
Local issues with property management or neighboring retailers
Contact the Volunteer Coordinator immediately and communicate the issue if the problem is not life-threatening.
If it’s an emergency, please contact the EMT or Police on-site. Contact information will be provided to you by the Volunteer Coordinator when you check in that day.
Remain calm, use common sense and follow all instructions from emergency response teams.
Get the facts. Be prepared to provide detailed information for StuMo to draft a statement if needed.
Regardless of circumstances, in every crisis or emergency situation it’s important that all SMC volunteers and staff demonstrate a sense of compassion and a commitment to safety.
Additionally, volunteers and staff should demonstrate empathy for the situation and communicate that action is being taken to contain or resolve the issue.
Health & Safety
Our goal is to have the best SMC possible, and this means keeping everyone as safe and healthy as we’re able to under the circumstances. Your compliance with these protocols is key to making sure this happens! SMC will send communication to students in the coming days. Protocols apply to staff, volunteers and students attending SMC.
A face covering (over the nose and mouth) is required at all times in the convention center and at every SMC event, indoors and outdoors.
Everyone is expected to practice social distancing at all SMC events. Seating in the arena and convention center rooms will all be socially distanced.
Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the convention center to use as one enters/exits any meeting space. The rooms, seating and high touch surfaces will be sanitized throughout each day.
Every person’s temperature will be checked before they can enter the official check-in process at the hotel.
Below 100.4°: Person will be given a designated wristband for that day and able to proceed with check-in.
At or above 100.4°: Person will not be allowed to attend SMC.
Logistics Team will be on hand to help students determine the best next steps to get home. Any additional rooming/travel expenses may be at the students’ expense, but they will receive a refund from SMC for their ticket price.

At or above 100.4°: Person will no longer be able to continue attending the conference.
Logistics Team will be on hand to help students determine the best next steps to get home. Any additional rooming/travel expenses may be at the students’ expense. Depending on the day of the conference, the student may receive a partial refund from SMC for their ticket price, at the discretion of the SMC directors.
Getting over 2,000 students checked into different hotels in two hours takes a lot of help, but we’re confident it can run really smoothly! Volunteers will be assigned to either of these two areas:
Hotel Check-in Crew – paired with StuMo staff to check students in at one of the hotels.
Unloading Crew – paired with StuMo staff to help unload students’ luggage outside each hotel.
The SMC schedule is packed with lots of different events, sessions and activities! With so many moving parts, volunteers are a huge help to pulling these all off with excellence! Volunteers will serve in various roles around the conference, such as helping students navigate the new location, assisting with temperature checks, crowd control, getting in and out of the arena, working in the SMC Store, etc.
Night life team
Volunteers on the night life team will serve by helping with the kick-off dinner, working the water stations at the basketball and volleyball tournaments, overseeing ice skating, etc.
